I've had an Instagram account since 2012/2013 when I got my very first smart phone. Since then I've followed so many accounts of various topics (mostly cats!). As time went on, the number accumulated and I now follow over 1,000 accounts. As someone who uses most social media to promote myself, this number feels unorganized.
Recently, Instagram released a feature that allows you to follow hashtags. If you use IG, the way I do, you likely want to follow accounts similar to your own craft. There may be other interests you're tempted to follow but want to avoid following those accounts.
So I highly recommend following hashtags instead. For example, if you're an actor like me who follows other actors, but like townhouses, there's a tag for that. This way you don't have to follow so many accounts and you get to see double the pictures you'd see with just one account.
